Coile Nathais SOL brown course. Pretty much as expected in terms of the terrain - rough, wet and boggy underfoot but beautiful woodland and lovely contours. Felt technically quite straight forward as long as you kept focus, but I got sloppy in the second half once I got a bit tired and then made several mistakes. Acceptable performance given the lack of practice. Fun, but still not quite getting the buzz like I used to. Pleasantly surprised that the terrain didn't chew me up and spit me out too much, but several of my recent long runs have been pretty energy sapping affairs.

Hill of Fare end to end with KH, RB, ME & BS. From Raemoir over the top , down towards Learney via some new to me side paths. Then peeled off with M on a shortened loop back to Torphins via various other wee bits of path whilst the others carried onto Learney. Feeling a bit revived today after sleeping better, but legs were pretty tired by the time we’d got up the hill.

Ski tour up Cairn a Claise from Glenshee road with RB, RiB and SS. Able to ski from the road but some quite mixed conditions climbing up onto Sron na Gaoithe. Quite a lot of icy sections and more of the same on the ridge top and round towards CaC. Had been eyeing up different options for the descent and plumped for a line down the RH side of Garbh Coire. Turned out to be a good choice with some lovely pow and soft snow. Climbed back out of the Coire towards the shoulder to return on a similar line to our climb and once again managed to find some quite nice lines through it. Just the one splatter near the bottom, but I had such a mare trying to stand up again - really need to do something about my flexibility!
Lovely day with almost no wind, plenty of warmth in the sun, and some grand company on the hill :-))

Bit of a niggle in the groin and achey hips too - nothing too surprising but going to be a bit careful to try and not aggravate further.
