With JS. Loop from Ballater over the Pan to GT then upstream to the wonderful waterfall and pool at Linn of Tanar - a first time visit. Cracking dip and shower then back over to Deeside via Carn Leuchan. Humid and seemed to be permanently running into a strong headwind. JS getting his fitness back so it felt like hard work, but good for me :-) Crazy numbers of mtbers heading up towards HBR but hardly a soul over the back!

Controlling at CaB for SC. Felt a bit rubbish and headachey for a while in the middle. Not sure whether it was Covid jab, prosecco, general dehydration or a mix of all 3, but getting some more liquid in me definitely helped. Bit of a plod but got it done.

Jog round GT with DR. They were doing 15’ out and back tempo so I just jogged the 30’ instead. A few niggles but nothing too serious. Not sure legs would appreciate going uphill yet tho!
