Bonus run. Woke feeling fresher than anticipated so decided to get out for an early point bagging mission. Cul nan Gad (53 #77) and Fasheilach (59 #78). Up the west track then across the stream to the top. Back over Hunt Hill with a lovely descent off the north. Cold wind on the tops but felt great to be up there, endorphins were buzzing and there might just have been a few whoops :-)
Back in time for second breakfast before E was even up.

Three Lochans and a Ben with SS. First in to the DC Lochan Uaine CP13. Found a nest of adders on the way heading up the hillside - first one I’ve ever seen. Think they were quite dopey in the cold and initially didn’t move at all, but must have sensed me and started wriggling after a while. From the lochan we spotted a line straight up out of the Coire that was snow free. Was v steep but nothing technical. S stood on another baby adder on the rocks heading up here! Then it was on to Loch Etchachan, CP11. Much more snow over the back and happy to have the spikes with us. Windy too, but decided to go for Ben Macdui, CP 7, all the same and it didn’t actually get any worse, but sadly didn’t quite manage to get above the clouds. From MB headed along to Sron Riach before finding a line to drop into the middle Lochan Uaine CP8. Then dropped into the glen and out the Luibeag.
Great fun circuit stringing these CPs together with a bit of everything terrain-wise. #72-75

To Banchory via Feughside for Covid jab. In the rain. Almost woosed it, but was keen to get out and do something in case I don't feel like it tmrw. Actually really enjoyed it most of the way until I got a bit cold heading into Banchory.

Road cycling 47:18 [3] 17.67 km (2:41 / km) +175m 2:33 / km

Legging it back home trying not to get hypothermia after sitting around in wet kit at the sports centre. Lost my feet, but just about ok with the rest of me. No detours though!

Cnoc Dubh loop with w-u first round Parkins Moss. Hoped to make it a bit of a hilly fartlek session but feeling a bit heavy legged from last night’s run, so struggling to get the effort level up much. Reckon it was still better than just plodding tho.
Glad I decided against the Mortlich h-c

Anti-cw Shadey Clachers from the AA box (CP99 #70). Felt a bit of a slog early on but managed to keep a reasonable effort all the way up onto Clachers. Then properly worked the climb up Shade, taking 1’ off previous best. Legs still heavy from Fri / Sat so happy with that. Felt good running back off the top, tho not paying attention and didn’t take the best route.
