Loop out along the ridge between SDee and GT over Black Craig, from Dinnet. With J and JS. Bit of a dreich day but rain held off. Felt ok running and for once was not completely exhausted by the end. Just about right for today.

From Glen Muick cp in to the end of the loch. Blowing a hoolie and headwind all the way

Wind looked like it would thwart plans for the high ground but decided to head in to Dubh Loch and then take it from there. Rivers v full too and doubted that I’d get across the Allt a DL to head out towards Cairn Bannoch or Broad Cairn. Felt pretty sluggish up to the loch and hard work into the wind. Checked out the loch outlet (crazy wild) and then inlet and decided the latter was crossable. Turned out to be thigh deep, but having managed to negotiate it decided I might as well keep going up, with the knowledge that I could get the wind behind me on high ground if I turned back towards BC. So that was what I ended up doing - bitter wind, rain and hail but only my feet got really cold and all was fine as long as I kept moving. Couple of hare on the tops looking very white now. Didn’t hang about on top of BC but soon got down to the stables for a sheltered bun stop. Then back down the streak of lightning and round the head of the loch to the bike.
Had originally planned a raid into Angus (shhh), but pretty happy to get round this loop in the circumstances. Certainly blew away any residual cobwebs.

Feeling rubbish all morning but picked up a bit after lunch so decided to go along to the DR Thu run round LK. Not sure whether it was the afternoon cinnamon buns, running, good company, or all 3 but felt a lot better for it :-) Legs were fine today.

Meikle Tap with EM. Feeling really tired after last night and head isn’t in the right place atm, but didn’t want to bail on E. Felt dreadful but managed to keep some sort of run going all the way up and definitely feeling better after. Cheery company is always a help. Ola :-)

DR @ GT. 10’ tempo out 2 bridges, 5x1’ hills on middle track then 10’ tempo back down the other side. Lonely run off the back on the tempo but just about hanging in on the hills. Good to get it done.

Pressendye from Queens View with KH. In the clag at the start but broke through to blue skies higher up for a while. Easy pace with Ks dodgy hammy, which made for a very social start to the week :-)
