Plenty time in the garden during the last week - might finally manage to get on top of it and even progress some long-planned projects if the weather stays fine.

Aboyne, Queens View, Tar rd E to Bogentassie junction and back by Lumphanan. Nice ride on quiet roads. Plenty folk out and about on foot and mostly seemed much smilier today.

4 x laps of the policies to see how the foot is doing. Slight discomfort after a couple of laps but getting there.

Riverbank walk late afternoon. Foot improving but going to give it another day or two before running. Would be good to be completely pain free walking first.

Over to military road and Lumphanan then tried to follow an old road cutting across towards kHs back road. Turned out that although it’s shown as path / track on the OS the middle section has long since disappeared into some fields- half a dozen fence crossings and hike-a-bike ensued before picking it up at the other end. Then headed for the track to the east side of Mortlich. This one is just about still there, but only just. Finally back along the DW.
Reckoned I’d done 24 gates / fences by the end but may have forgotten some. Arms sore from lifting the bike over most!

DW to Potties, then loop over to Finzean and back by Shooting Greens. Home again by outward route. E for company as well as tigger and he did wait for me quite patiently! Foot improved today. Seem to be more people out and about than normal on foot, but I guess there's more folk with time and working from home. Plenty of space out in these parts and good that we're all still able to get out.

Heel still sore after yesterday’s session. Fairly sure it is plantar fasciitis and steep hills is probably about the worst thing for it. Time to do a bit more biking either way.
Round the Lumphanan bowl, up to crossroads, east along the Tarland rd as far as back road to Sundsyswells then back over Pitmurchie. Lovin it once I was up on the Tarland rd and wanted just to keep going. Bit of heel pain even on the bike. Doing lots of ice, tennis ball and massage tool on it.

Warm up short lap of the woods. Jog back between each hill rep and short w-d at the end. Good session. My training mascot of old has returned to give me some support in these times of isolation :-)

5 x reps of DW hill from bridge to high point. Tough effort. Pleased to grind it out. Nice to meet C+P M out for a run too. Heel sore again by the end. Think pushing through my toes on the climb is stressing it.

Really not feeling motivated today for the first time. No worries, bit of R+R should help. Intervals of some description tomorrow.
