Cairn t'Sagairt Mor from Ballochbuie with E, then back by the Meall an t'Slugain ridge and Creag nan Leachda. Not quite the blue sky day that we'd been promised, but pretty nice all the same. Chill wind on the tops and v icy underfoot in places. Crossing the icy burn before the main climb was a little disconcerting, but managed to find a spot where it was fully iced over. Steady pace, not breaking any records.

Note

Finding it hard to get comfy in bed with bruises, so didn’t sleep v well. Agreed with E to swap the W/e around and get his controls hung today, then hopefully get another day in the hills tmrw. Everything conspiring to go wrong this morning- from apple jelly spillage nightmare, to controls out in action elsewhere, major car misfunction and shoes that are too small. Thankfully found some therapy at MoD

Loch Muick munros loop by-passing Carn t'Sagairt Mhor with J, RB and SR. Great day out. Bit of snow and quite a lot of ice, but could have been a lot tougher going. Chill wind on the tops. Slipped on ice early on and lost my feet from under me. Landed on a pointy rock that's given me a peachy bruise on my backside, but no serious damage done. Cloud coming and going giving lots of atmospheric light and views. Legs held up ok, although not exactly feeling spritely.

Foggieton DNC. Enjoyed this one. Should be very straight forward, but easy to make small mistakes at night. Got confused heading to 10 when I approached on the wrong vague path through some cruddy stuff. Off line to 12 too and a couple of hesitations in the fiddly bit near the end. Short w-u included.

DW hills from the bridge 8x2’+2’ jog recovery. Decided there wasn’t much to be gained from going along to DR to run up the Fungle on a ming night when I could do the same session out the back door and then be in the shower in 2’. Legs were alright but totally lacking in energy and feeling a bit wobbly after the first few. Been out all day and probably didn’t have enough lunch. Decided to cut the session but also gave myself a talking to and the 5th rep went much better so carried on to do 8 in the end.
