Running 3:15:00 [3] 14.66 km (13:18 / km) +1129m 9:36 / km
ahr:114 max:174 shoes: Salomon speedcross 2019 II

Buachaille Etive Mhor ridge with J and KH for the middle section. J and I headed straight up the tourist track up the north corrie then met K coming off the first top having skipped up Curved ridge. Went together along to the south top to bag a new Munro for me. K then headed on a direct line towards BEB, while we headed straight back by the Lairig. Tempted to join her but feeling pretty stuffed as well as stiff ( some good bruises on my left ankle and thigh from yesterday’s splatters). Cloud was down so no views either and E was waiting in the van. All in all a good decision to call it a day.
Fab weekend all round.

End to end from Glencoe over the Pap and Aonach Eagach and on down to Kinlochleven with KH and RB. Forecast was rubbish to the extent that we almost stayed in Deeside, but woke to a bit of broken cloud, no wind etc. By the top of the Pap the cloud was breaking up even more to give a fine day in the end. Managed to splatter myself a couple of times before getting onto the AE but maybe was useful to wake me up and make sure I was focusing when I needed to. Had done the AE back in 1987 as a naive student when I hadn’t a clue what I was tackling. Have been wanting to go back again for ages, so was really quite excited although a tad worried as to how I’d cope. As it turned out I loved 99% of it; just a couple of moves that had me a wee bit worried. KH skipped along the top so I was happy that R was also taking it rather more sedately. All in all a grand day out :-)

Back to normal. Along DW to Boddomend then up Queen's Hill. Short of time so back the same way. Feeling pretty good on both hills. HR seems stupidly high though... genuine or not?

DR at GT. Hill reps not happening tonight. Guess I did race hard last week and legs are still stuffed. Carried on for a wee shuffle but started to feel quite light headed on the way back. Back feeling achey again too - must be the harder tracks. Bit more R+R required.
