S6D stage 6 Grandtully. Nothing for it but to nail the compass today. Lots of controls out there and visited a couple that weren't mine, both within 50m or so. Not totally happy with the first, sited on a clearing awfully close to the clearing that mine was on, but I'm sure the controller had done his measurements! Missed a few mins in total and out early, so really quite surprised to take the win on the day - even if it was only on the run in! Best use of the area and enjoyable enough.
Turns out I had secured the overall win yesterday.
Good week. Really enjoyed it and pleased I managed to get myself in the right frame of mind to race it properly. O tech far from perfect, but I'd have been surprised if I'd got it together any better at this stage in the year. Certainly happy enough with how fitness is feeling. A few easy days planned then one last PSR push next weekend.

S6D stage 5 Craig a Barns. Messed up no 1 and 12 but ran well enough in between to take a comfortable win. Bit disappointed we didn’t get to use more of the forest but I’m sure there was a good reason. Not sure if I’ve sealed the overall victory or not, depending on how the count back works?

S6D stage 4 Culteucher and Dron. This was always going to be largely a cross-country race so plan was to run hard and get it as smooth as possible. Managed to do that pretty successfully except that I also managed to skip the cross-over loop at no 11 and ran straight from 10-12. Aw bum. Stupido. Finished 7’ clear having missed probably 2’ for the extra leg... perhaps I pushed a tad hard. Probably wouldn’t have made the mistake if I’d held back just that tiny bit.
Pressure on for tomorrow now. Being positive I guess I’m running quite well atm.

S6D day 3 Dundurn. Lovely area but too many mistakes today. Lucky to get away with 3rd I think. Overshot on no 3 - not settled in to map scale, then a bad miss at no 6. Was just one crag adrift but took waaaay too long to correct. Then just a bit rushed through the rest taking some poor lines and running straight past no 11 before realising. Could probably have snuck the win if I'd got it back together better.

S6D day 2 Edinchip. Technically easier today, but made a couple of mistakes late on. Poor route and then too high on the spur at 10 and then missed the red line across the river gorge until I got quite close to 11, so had to do 2 sides of a triangle to cross. Good enough for the win again today but will need to run better tomorrow with an early start.
