Orienteering 25:00 [2] 2.5 km (10:00 / km)

Short loop during Tilqhuillie club training to test out new magnifier. Then picked up a few controls at the end.

Running 1:30:00 [3] 10.8 km (8:20 / km) +470m 6:51 / km

Peter's Hill with DR. Bit of a battle to get out of bed for this but pleased that I did. Always hard setting off knowing that you are tired and will be off the back of the group all the way up, but good to clock up another back to back long(ish) hill run. Climb was 5' slower than the end of Oct, so I can reassure myself that tiredness is the main reason.
Really cold on top with a strong wind. Lots of white hares looking a bit obvious in the heather on the descent - gave E something to chase!
Good company.

Been feeling the post holiday blues this week, not helped by the grey dreich weather. Really tired this morning, mentally as much as anything, but figured it would be good mental strength training to get out and try to work through it.
Parked at ToE and ran up towards the Guard, then out above GT, round the back of Baudy Meg, reverse of Tue night route to the bridge, left to the 2nd bridge, left over the minutes hill, above the mill pond to the cp, then back by the S river bank to ToE.
Put my head down from the start and worked steadily through it. Got up the hill ok and from then started to feel better. Happy with that.

Quick check of the map area south west of Dinnet to see if it could be used for a CATI. With poles.

Meh - least said... lost my mojo with DNC a bit at the moment. Spend too much time trying to figure out where I'm putting my feet to be able to navigate smoothly and struggling to read any of the map detail at night. Being more positive, I felt ok running when I got onto some of the nicer bits.

Headtorch run with J down to the river bank and back on the DW. Ice almost gone. Good to get out after a dreich day.

Ice everywhere still. Decided on a hilly fartlek round the woods as there's a better chance of being able to work on icy climbs. With J.

Running hills 20:00 [5] 2.5 km (8:00 / km) +200m 5:43 / km

6 x climbs of varying length and steepness ~1' - 5'. Got a good workout from it.
