Orienteering race 1:28:00 [4] 9.3 km (9:28 / km) +250m 8:20 / km

SOL Drummond Hill brown course. V pleasant. Not v technical, but nice running, so enjoyed it. Map could do with an update.

Peter's Hill with J. Felt like I was going ok on the climb, but died on the last steep section. Snuck the QoM from SR. Nice run off the west end and back by the Feugh, one of my fave bits of path.

Recovery ride. P'murchie + Lumph loop. Planned to go up to Tar Rd, but the road was closed and feeling tired anyhow.

Note

Afternoon wanders. Lots of birds on Aboyne Loch - heron, goosander, goldeneye as well as family of swans and plenty mallard.

Thursday Oct 26, 2017 #

Pressendye with J and E. Started from Muirton woods and ran steady up, feeling pretty heavy-legged but happy to run it all. Then back with E via Pittenderich and off the far side of it. Bit of a detour after I took a wrong turn, which didn't impress E (especially when we had to climb back up a few contours!), but nice otherwise.

Roller on calfs too - feeling better for it. Think they might be contributing to the foot problem.

Recovery trot round Feughside tracks. Feeling last night's intervals but eased into it eventually. Foot niggling at start again.

Jog to and from green. Niggle still in left foot, but settled after w-u.

Running intervals 21:00 [5] 3.4 km (6:11 / km)

2 x long reps ~4.5' then 6 x short ~50'' with 45'' recovery. Legs still feeling heavy from cycling.

Morning jog with J in Enniskillen, round the grounds of Castle Coole.
