Running 35:00 [3]

Lunchtime run from GML with J and IM. Up to the Lochan Uaine, then lovely wee path to north that climbs back round the spur of MaB before dropping to GML. Then an extra loop round the periphery of the lodge to add a little extra distance. A bit drizzly, but good to get out.

Note
(rest day)

Course all day. Decided rest was sensible at lunchtime but maybe try and get out tomorrow.

Running 48:00 [3] 8.4 km (5:43 / km)

Lap of Loch Morlich from G'more lodge with J, JH and E on bike. Feeling Craiglich in my legs.

Running 30:00 [2]

Hanging and collecting controls for a-s O club - same set as last week. Needed the torch this time.
7 PM

Running warm up/down 5:00 [2]

Nowhere near enough!

Running 28:29 [3] 4.6 km (6:12 / km) +170m 5:14 / km

Craiglich night handicap. Stomach didn't feel great on the climb, but otherwise not too bad. Thick mist at the top made it really hard to keep the pace going and not too easy to find the summit either! Well dodgy descending without being able to see the ground in front of you - went down once but no harm done.
Quality session and fun too!

Orienteering 1:00:00 [2]

Shadowing E round his first DNC at Carlogie. He did it all himself.
Dead proud :-)
Buzzing after.

Running hills 30:00 [5]

15x1'+1' up Carnferg from the start of the path off the big track bend to the top. Felt ok for first half, but lacking power for the steeper ones on the main climb - probably cycling yesterday taken the edge off.

Running 45:00 [3]

Warm-up up the big track to start of hill reps, feeling pretty ropey and sore head. Came back down by the main track to the start of the trees, then followed the re-entrant down to the stream and bottom fields eventually. Some lovely bits of pinewood, if somewhat lacking in detail.
Fog? Ha! Glorious again.

Road cycling 1:18:00 [3] 27.7 km (2:49 / km) +400m 2:38 / km

With J on his mtb. Home - Lumph bowl upper loop, xrds, Tar rd to end of church brae, Lumph and home by DAP. Stunning day again.
4 PM

Running 20:00 [2]

Decent wee run with the a-s club slow group. Found that if you keep chattering to one or two of them then they forget that it's hard work. Went up to the fields to chase the sun. Barely caught it but the views were great.
5 PM

Running 15:00 [3]

Slick piece of control hanging in Aboyne with J for the scouts. Chance to test the new torch out a bit more.
