Walking 1:30:00 [2]

Hill walk on west side of Glen Shee with J and E - Cairnwell, Carn a' Gheoidh and Carn Aosda. Tops clear. Out for 3 h.

Outdoor gym - barrowing logs up the hill and turning compost. Arms tired.

Running 2:22:00 [3]

Long run from Aboyne. First 50mins with J on a loop out round Balnagowan. Then headed back out to try and cross to Coull behind the castle but failed to find the route I was looking for, so cut through grotty fields and scrappy land to reach otter bridge eventually. Then up onto Mortlich (walked much of the climb) and back over Queen's Hill. Came all the way back the new bridgeless DW and splashed across the burn (to the amusement of the DW construction team). Was going to stop and sit in it to cool my legs, but decided the guys already thought I was mad enough.
Bit of a plod and would have liked to make it a bit longer.
Going to ease back now and hope that the knee settles down by next w/e.

Running hills 32:00 [5]

4 x reps of the hill from side of Aboyne Loch up to the path entrance into Coull. 3:57, 3:56, 4:05, 4:04, with jog back recovery. Felt a bit better after the first one, but tired by the end (thought I did a good pace on the last one). V humid. Undergrowth dry but path still v wet in places.

To and from Aboyne loch from the tennis courts. Saw an osprey dive for a fish in the loch just metres away. Then watched it circling around being mobbed by a seagull, so I guess it must have caught something.

Mountain biking 20:00 [2]

Down to the village, ice lollies and back home. Sun!

Easy recovery run from tennis courts - castle grounds, golf course, round the loch and back by the railway.

Running hills 28:00 [5]

14 x 1' + 1' with DR at Glen T on the diagonal hill. Going ok but struggling to recover within the 1'- guess I've not done any short hills recently.

To start of hills and back at end. Knee sore again, but still trying to run through it. Nice night at least.

Round and about Aboyne - mixture of road, track and path finishing off with a few BF laps of the green. Energy system feeling good, but niggles in knee again.
