Running 1:40:00 [3]

From home across the fields and cow shit alley to military road. Along to Lumphanan then a loop round the woodland on the hill above the village. Back by military road and Bullevard. Buzzed on the way out and twice on the way back by psycho. Also by presumably a different bird at the Peel Ring.
Nice run and feeling pretty good at a relaxed pace.

Loop round Allt Cailleach with J and E. Lovely day and rather over-dressed but better than getting cold and wet again.

Terrain run in NE end of Glen Tanar with J. Feeling tired and struggling with the hills. Lots of crappy bits of forest between the few nice sections. Got very wet and very cold again.

Mountain biking 50:00 [3]

Blast round Glen Tanar in the rain whilst E at Beaver camp. Did an anti-clockwise loop of the glen starting up the mill pond track, out to the two bridges and back by Tower of Ess. Wet, very muddy and extremely cold. Feet hadn't even thawed out after a long hot shower.

Barefoot running 8:30 [3]

Decided to try out barefoot runing to see if might help with foot cramping issues etc. Ran out to H'head football fields and did 4 x lengths. Felt great. Feet were really sensitised after.

Control collecting at Potarch on a blank map. Was going fine until I had a food wobble. Had planned to jog the relay route too, but food won the day.

8 x 2' + 1' round the 2 bridges at Glen Tanar. Wasn't sure what to do tonight but felt surprisingly good - almost like a runner again ;-} Yesterday must have been a good leg loosener.

Briskish warm-up and down. Came back via the mill pond to extend a little. E gave us permission on condition that he could have lots of tuna when we got home.

Mountain biking 1:00:00 [2]

With J and E from Linn of Dee to Derry Lodge on the bikes. Then a walk part way up the new path towards Derry Cairngorm. Tempting to go for it, but it wasn't planned and would have been a long hike - another day. Back out the same way. Got the best of the day, wet and chilly by the end. Good intro for E to the Cairngorms.
