Orienteering race 1:30:00 [4]

SOL at Dallaschyle. A race of two halves - am going to focus on the first half and erase the rest from my memory! Was orienteering and focussing well. Small mistake on no 8 and hesitation on 9 but otherwise clean until 11. Was heading on line but stopped at 'vegetation boundary' with ditch beyond, assuming had passed control then completely failed to relocate from track to N for about 10' - not good. After that never got back into it and realised I was short for time to get E to skiing in Aberdeen, so bailed out. Didn't want to reinforce bad technique anyhow.
Ripped another pair of tights too :-(

Running 1:40:00 [3]

Long run from Burn o Vat, left onto the Muir, across the road and up track over shoulder, onto Cnoc Dubh, down track to behind Cambus Hotel (will be a cracking bit of O terrain down there) onto the DW along to Cambus, back up through the forest and down the Vat Burn parallel path. Good run. Legs feeling ok and no niggles in thigh.
Sprint this evening's going to be tough though :-(

Orienteering 27:00 [3]

Forest sprint at Bogendreip. Was maybe a mistake to run this quite so knackered - not sure I got much from it. Missed a couple of controls and stomach was complaining about going running again (not to mention the legs). Ripped my good tights too ;-(

Running tempo 20:00 [5]

Pace run on DW from Aboyne. Out for 10' turned and chased my distance back. Got about 1m past starting point. Inner thigh muscle was fine on way out, then felt niggle which persisted on way back but didn't get any worse. Iced after.

O training at Carlogie. Shadowing E, control hanging and collecting but not much running. Had intended to do some training for myself but didn't feel motivated.
Slight niggle on inside leg muscle.

5x4'+2' on the railway. Felt lethargic before the start but good once I got going. Distance improving.

Running warm up/down 25:00 [2]

To start of intervals via Ian's and back just above the waterfall - only 1 slightly wet foot.

Mountain biking 25:00 [2]

Nice ride with E on the new section of Deeside way from Potties up towards Shooting Greens. Big hill, but a nice bit of track and a great wooden bridge at the bottom.
