Hanging controls in Shooting Greens for junior training. Should be good technique practice - great area - just a shame the map's not quite up to scratch. Out for 95' total.
With J at Shooting Greens - checking out for junior training on Sun. Did a few hill efforts which didn't feel good, but otherwise fine. Same as elsewhere tracks are ice rinks but forest is fine.
Chucked some grit on the car park too.
Note
Good to feel like doing things again. Had a dig in the veggie plot to try and find my sprouting broccoli underneath the ice pack - hope it doesn't mind being deep frozen and crushed. Haven't found the leeks or parsnips yet.
Was heading for Banchory when the Hill of Fare caught my eye. Headed up the direct route towards the mast - have only ever come down that way before. Was a bit of a glacier but managed to run most of it really steadily. Ran through the heather on the way back and straight across the low top beyond the bog which was more enjoyable than the ice. Really nice relaxed run and feeling much better.
Still a bit choked up, but also a bit livelier. Had a really easy jog round H'head and felt better for the fresh air and leg stretch. Nice day but darn chilly. Lethal ice on sections of roads and tracks - night O could be interesting tomorrow.
