Out at 7:45 checking controls at Balmedie. All seemed to go smoothly with a little bit of added excitement of a fire in the middle of the White course.

Note

Had fun sitting watching one of the controls for a while. Interesting thing was that I only saw 1 person out of 10 or so punch it. The other nearest controls were 250m away...

From Dinnet to Ballater with E on the tag along. Lunch at the tea sho then back again. Felt like hard work at times. Think I was being taken for a ride or something like that....

Parked at Knockburn Loch and ran up Kerloch by the big track from the E then along the top to the edge of Bogendreip and back down the W side - with J. First time I've done that ascent - mostly pretty runnable, but gets a bit steep towards the top of the forest. Up in 43'. Nice sunny day, but wind still chilly. Prominent Peak 4.

From Cambus with J. Up the Crannach track towards Morven. Turned right in the bog to ascend by the usual route, but then woossed out and turned right to head up Culblean Hill instead. Dropped back towards Crannach and into Cambus. Long enough for me today and would have been very wild on top of Morven.

Not feeling too bad except for calfs which are still really tight.
