Note

Recovery day. Legs feel tired but not badly damaged - I wasn't attacking the descents enough for that.
Had a great family walk and picnic on Scolty and some more time in the garden in the afternoon.

Hill Race race 1:58:26 [5]

Clachnaben hill race. First hill race since last summer. Very apprehensive beforehand, but actually almost enjoyed (?) a lot of it. Happy to be just ahead of Dave S at the top of Clachnaben. The bottom of the descents off Clachnaben and Mount Shade on the way back were really grotty and I was almost walking, but so was everyone else. Had almost caught two girls at the bottom of the lsat descent, but once we hit the track I had to wave bye-bye. Around 10 minutes slower then 3 years ago I think, but I'm still pretty pleased. Left ankle was quite sore by the end - I think it's time I saw the physio.

Had to race back to the car before the start when I realised I'd left my platypus behind. Didn't manage much of a warm down, but the beer was good.

10 x 30" + 30" sprints to try and get the legs moving a bit quicker

Collected in the controls after training at Bogendreip. Felt pretty good running up the track. Session seemed to go pretty well. Nice to be able to head out at 7:45 without a torch.

Orienteering 30:00 [2]

Control hanging for Wed training at Bogendreip. Wasn't particularly looking forward to it, but quite enjoyed it really. Forest is mostly very runnable.
