Orienteering 1:22:00 [2] 11.1 km (7:23 / km) +105m 7:03 / km
(sick) shoes: Oroc

Woke up feeling rubbish this morning - cold is winning :( Couldn't decide whether to bother going to the event today, but thought if I just jogged I couldn't make it too much worse & at least then I could focus on using it as compass training. Started to feel awful at control 21 so just shuffled back. Compass was good though - now needing to have a better picture of the control circle as was getting close & then not being able to spot them & going in circles.
Good weekend of training - now to recover from this illness before xc next weekend.

Running warm up/down 22:00 [1] 2.0 km (11:00 / km)
shoes: X Talon 212

Running race 1:01:00 [4] 10.0 km (6:06 / km) +260m 5:24 / km
shoes: X Talon 212

Brutal 10 (Long Valley South) - favourite races ever!!
10km of mud, hills, bog, sand, marshes, ponds, more hills and more mud :)
Felt like hard work (fighting off a cold so that could be why) but finally won one, whoop whoop. Was not loving life in the lake (utterly incapable of running through waist deep water) but the little windy paths through the forest are the best & I beasted all the men I was with at descending off the hills.
Hopefully will improve my strength a bit doing these type of races, but mostly just awesome fun :-)

Orienteering race 59:00 [3] 8.24 km (7:10 / km) +50m 6:57 / km
shoes: Oroc

Southern Night Champion in tonight's hotly contested race LOL. Spent a lot of time wandering in circles looking for rootstocks, but did enjoy it more than I expected to. So much fog though made it mega hard - it just reflected the torch light back into your face so literally couldn't see more than about 2 meters which made things interesting!! Mostly quite pleased & I took my time with the safe navigating which paid off (or maybe just luck :P).

(rest day)

Big improvements at the physio today :)
Got some exercises now I'm finally loosened enough to do them :P & we've hopefully identified the reasons behind all this pain in my inner right leg (shin, adductor and ankle).
Cannot rave enough about how good she is, even though it's very very painful at times!! :)

Running 1:09:30 [2] 11.77 km (5:54 / km) +200m 5:27 / km
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 20 (Pink)

Nice shuffle round caversham park loop with 4 x 6min kenyan hills in the middle. Had a slightly annoying person decide to join in and "race me" up the hills. Inner ankle a bit sore from some bad overpronation :/
