S&C 1:00:00 [1]

Thera bands at the ready! Full set of physio exercises, core exercises, lower body conditioning, trying to get the right bits of my body working. Definitely need this in order to be more efficient in terrain.

Orienteering warm up/down 20:00 [1]

Orienteering race 1:24:46 [4] 13.0 km (6:31 / km) +325m 5:48 / km

Frith and Old Windmill Hills

Pretty slow through the first section, just found it really hard to visualise what the control circle looked like. Seemed to make endless mistakes within about 50m of the control # 4, 6, and 15 being particularly bad.
Then I just massively crashed on the way to 22 and made some more stupid mistakes, wandering around meters from the controls.
Maybe it's just getting back into the swing of things, or adjusting to a totally new type of forest - I don't know, it just all felt sloppy and undisciplined.
A two and a half minute 150m run-in being a particular demonstration of how sh*t I was today :P

Positives - It was a good hilly long run, I know that I need to work on control circle visualisation, compass/pacing into terrain from the tracks & general terrain fitness. Things can only improve :)

Collecting controls and dying of hunger

Bike 20:00 [1]

Running warm up/down 10:00 [1]

Running tempo 22:00 [3] 5.0 km (4:24 / km)

SO MUCH MUD! Fairly sure half of the course was one giant puddle. Fantastic fun but totally not conducive to speed. Speaking to some people afterwards they all said they were at least half a minute slower this week than the one before so that is a relief.
Keen for some more running later :)

Orienteering race 1:00:32 [4] 7.3 km (8:18 / km) +150m 7:31 / km

Ranmore Common - could have been in North Yorkshire, what is this green Southern terrain?!
Actually really enjoyed it, just because I love night events.
Spent a lot of time hunting for depressions and flailing around in holly bushes with an ever diminishing headlight (nb. do NOT use that torch in a forest ever again!) and number 14 ahahaha, how we even missed the worlds biggest depression I do not know, it was HUGE.
Need some seriously better compass and pacing discipline for future night events.

Circuits 40:00 [2]

Lunges, step ups, squats, OH press, russian twists, bicep curls, squat jumps, star jumps, mountain climbers, twisting plank (impressed I remembered :P). Loved it, much better than the one with loads of upper body stuff - good to have a variety of core and dynamic things.

Running 35:00 [2] 6.0 km (5:50 / km)

Shouldn't have run on hard surfaces two days in a row, poor poor shins. Won't be doing that again in a hurry!

S&C 30:00 [0]

Physio exercises - I am so bad at remembering to do these

Bike 25:00 [1]

Yesterdays rest was a good plan, no point feeling guilty about what my body needed. Feel goooood today :-)

Running warm up/down (Track) 40:00 [1]

Drills, jogging, the usual

Running intervals (Track) 40:00 [3] 8.0 km (5:00 / km)

Got put into groups based on marathon ability - not useful when I have no desire to ever run a marathon! Anyways was put in a group I thought would be way too fast but actually turned out to be fine - I even got trusted to pace them for a bit. Did Yasso 800's which I'd never heard of but apparently is a thing in the marathon world.
Then followed this up by running in a train and every 50m the back person sprinting to the front.
Went by super fast :)

Note
(rest day)

Foolishly mentioned that I was feeling a bit bored at work - people take those comments seriously! Massively swamped today, I ache, I feel bleh, I just wanted to go to bed.
