CSC Trophy at Ashridge (Blue Men): late start as had supposed to be gigging the previous night. A couple of earlier finishers had said it was fast and the times certainly suggested this too. Hoped for mid-30s and got close. Went out hard and tried to maintain tempo throughout. Missed 1 (went to bigger depression first), wobbled on line to 5, slowish on the hard run to 14, got caught in thicker vegetation to 15 and line was poor, slightly to right coming up hill to 21 and similarly offline to 22. Probably lost 50-60 secs in total, but nothing more than that and won all bar 4 of the splits. Satisfying outing.

Gorgeous afternoon so started with 4 laps of the IVC fields...

Into the gym and did 5 x 4 mins (2 mins rec) on L17 and keeping the rpm over 70. Tough.

Painful and painfully slow... HAdnt run Tuesday so had to get up at 5am and do this crawl around Newmarket. Lesson learnt.

Long day yesterday - 15 hours. Awake early (before 5), chaired 3hr meeting (including visitor from DfE) and then lots more to sort. Home decent time on a lovely evening, but felt lazy.
