Off-road running warm up/down 16:20 [2] 3.5 km (4:40 / km)
shoes: Inov-8 Mudclaw 265 Blue

Before and after the event...

Orienteering race 37:01 [5] ** 7.1 km (5:13 / km) +100m 4:52 / km
spiked:16/19c shoes: Inov-8 Mudclaw 265 Blue

Blue course at Wimpole Hall which was quiet useful training for next weekend - rough open grass, some contours & compass work. Fine in the open but lost at least 2 mins in the 3 forest controls - weak map reading/attack point for 11, offline going direct to 12 (& having to cross the fairly wide & deep stream) and weak line/no compass to 15. Still it was a decent enough blowout.

7 AM

Cycling 1:00:55 [3] 27.6 km (2:12 / km)
slept:7.8

To school and used by snuggly shoe wraps for the first time - temp was 12c but thought it was worth a test. Lovely. A bit chilly out and rode it reasonably strongly.
5 PM

Cycling 1:01:55 [3] 27.7 km (2:14 / km)

Home from work - a disappointing ride. A bit breezy but I just felt cooked and really tired. I guess 4 rides in 48 hours took their toll.

11 AM

Cycling 1:00:30 [3] 27.8 km (2:11 / km)

An eventful morning - left home at 6.40, onto the A14, ignored the warning signs of 'Accident beyond J35' (they're often wrong) and ground to standstill 1 mile later. Eventually got off road at 9.15 (closed J35) into seriously congested Cambridge bound traffic, headed home to work then cycle in at 11.30. Had pack so slightly slower.
5 PM

Cycling 56:50 [3] 27.7 km (2:03 / km)

Home from work trying to maintain high tempo - generally okay but slower than expected. Cooler?? Also ended up in ditch thanks to driver in Fen Ditton congestion doing a sudden 3 point turn.

3 PM

Off-road running 45:25 [3] 10.0 km (4:33 / km)
shoes: Asics GT2170 Orange

Nice and easy around the Rec and then laps of the fields. Legs sore but this helped.
