Running 43:07 [3] 10.0 km (4:19 / km)
slept:7.5 shoes: Asics DS Trainer 19

Newmarket loop - felt pretty tired and decided not to risk hamstrings any further at the end as they were tightening.

Off-road running 1:01:24 [3] 8.0 mi (7:40 / mi)

From mum & dad's over fields, up CT path and 2 good laps of Harlow Town Park, focusing on the hills as much as possible. Hamstrings tight and a little sore, especially the right.

Swimming 22:00 [3]

Various lengths and it certainly helped the legs...
9 AM

Walking 1:20:00 [1] 5.0 mi (16:00 / mi)

A strong hike from the car parked on Wilberforce over to Eastbrook and back afters - even included some stretches of light jogging.

slept:6.5 shoes: Asics GT1000

Fitness training 45:00 [5]
slept:6.5

Dear Lord! Had decided to see if I woke naturally - I did - and managed to get to Insanity for 6.45. It was exactly what it says on the tin. 45 mins of plyometric upper, core, power onslaught. Seriously struggled but it will be a good addition to my week's training...
5 PM

Treadmill Running 31:30 [3] 4.0 mi (7:53 / mi)
shoes: Asics GT1000

Ahead of a Governors' meeting, managed to get over to the gym for an easy/steady run. Legs were battered from this morning and race. Took it easy and it sort of helped.

Note

So that's the season over... managed to race nearly all the major champs (Mids, National XC, JK, British Long & British Middle) which is pretty much a first in one season. Performances weren't great but it's been a difficult year to date with a combo of home, work and injury. Some positive in there - and I currently have a 1'30sh lead on Alan V in the GC :)

Will rebuild through the summer, enjoy whatever competitions I feel like doing and possibly spend some of the summer at altitude ahead of a productive Autumn.
3 PM

Fitness training 32:00 [3]

A decent recovery session on the XT: found it tough at first (thighs dead) but then got into a good rhythm (65-70 on L15).
