Orienteering race 1:17:47 [5] 10.2 km (7:38 / km) +300m 6:39 / km
shoes: Inov-8 Mudclaw 265

BOC Individual: New Beechenhurst. Felt good and relaxed beforehand and started well. No mistakes in first half and got to #10 5th overall, just over 2 mins down on Logue. Lost min at 11. Put off by bloke on course going to get a drink and misread detail. Slower route to 14 and again to 16 (chose path rather than green which was much quicker). Major gaffe to 17. Misread veg detail and came in from the track way too early. Nothing made sense until placed the contour detail of the stream and found 152, the only depression in the area. Relocated and lost nearly 2 mins at that leg alone. Slow to the end and felt battered. 12th and 1'30 down on Alan. Disappointed that I couldn't fulfil the run's early promise and a 73 minuter was definitely there for the taking today. At least I've now managed to run both JK and British in one season. Possibly a first!
