After monster sleep (for me), felt pretty lethargic n struggled about getting out. Fortunately couldnt face another blank n actually had a very decent run. Made use of positively sweltering temps (3c) and wore shorts n took to roads, avoiding the slushy pavements, to do 2 x 4 miles (5.00 recovery) @ LT pace. Warm up along to St Marys n back n similar afterwards as well.

LT tempo run to the Sailing Club.... felt fairly sluggish at first but ran well n kept decent pace.

Back from the Sailing Club at LR pace... think it's probably tougher this way as there is more climb home... certianly the bits up Kings Ave and Beresford Rd are noticeable harder work.

What a day... -14C in the morning so decided to wait for the heat of the afternoon and got out just before 4pm in clear blue skies and a balmy -5C. Beautiful off-road run in studs (only thing for the compacted snow/ice) into town (post) and then over to Kings for the LT loop and back along the Ouse with the fat mandarin sun sinking over my left shoulder.

Another misnomer... didnt get to bed until well after 1 n then in work until after 6. Had more snow to contend so felt it unwise to sneak off to the gym at lunchtime.

Another disturbed night's sleep... woken by moggies cavorting around the house - they'd bloody escaped from nocturnal camp and partying like it was 1999. Ended up getting up to sort n have a cuppa n cereal in middle of night. Long day n then off to Mastodon in evening - so hardly a resting rest day.

Awake v early (3.30), up at 5 and drove to College... out before 6 for a decent (but ploddy) trot from Histon to Girton to Churchill College, down Grange Rd n back thru town n back up Histon Rd. All I can say is i did it.... -2c with ice in parts.

To College - rather grey n murky this morning; felt weary and leg dead.

Back home - clear skies n temp plummeting (-3c) which left some patches of ice; ran strongly to station n then laps of platforms waiting for delayed train. Back home after 6 n felt shattered.

Had felt kinda pooped during day (courtesy of getting up to watch the final quater of the Superbowl - well worth it!) but managed to get up to the gym and avoid the slush. Felt a bit ragged but did what it needed to.
