Another very good long run - 2 laps of the 6M and one of the River... felt a bit delicate first thing (le vin!), but recovered as I got going. Took a bottle at end of first lap (41.28) and increased the tempo to 'Marathon' pace for the second 6M (37.15) and then easy for the River (23.03). The 6M is possibly short by 400m or so, but it will be good to use for the duration to monitor progress etc. Just as well I got out early - it was clear n crisp first thing (11c) though the thermo climbed steadily.

Decent-paced run over a mix of terrain - CH, river, common n back via Kings n GC. Felt pretty good.

Steady run with Dylan around the cathedral n then back down on the river to Tesco n back via Kings. Felt a bit laboured.

Up n out early again (5.30) for a lap of the River (21.56) and the 7 Mile (51.50) loops... felt okish (less perky than Tues) and struggled towards end of the run.

Awake early so got up to work for an hour n then out for the first dark (morning) run of the autumn. Felt good n perky in spite of the ungodly hour.

Treadmill Running warm up/down 17:30 [2] 2.0 mi (8:45 / mi)

At a relaxed n easy pace before and after the 'hills'...

Treadmill Running hills 24:00 [4] 3.0 mi (8:00 / mi) +355m 5:51 / mi

Fairly intense hill-climb session on the treadmill... set the speed to 8.00 and the incline to 8% and it was certainly tough enough! Did 3 reps (1.2m, 0.6m and 0.75m with short 1.5 mins recovery). Very sweaty by the end.

Run to station and then extended loop up from Cambridge station via Hills, Long, Lammas, Chesteton etc. Felt a little tired but felt pretty strong.

Easy run with XC club around College fields; felt leg heavy n tired but nice n relaxed at this pace.
