Off-road running warm up/down 25:00 [2] 3.0 mi (8:20 / mi)
slept:6.3

Warm up and down at Bentley... pouring rain.

Orienteering race 25:00 [4] 3.0 km (8:20 / km) +100m 7:09 / km
shoes: Integrator

DNF. Started well enough but then everything went wrong. Really dont think mind was in it... planning your funeral on the way to a race is probably an indicator of not the greatest mental attitude. Went to 4 before 3, overshot 5 and gave up trying to find 7. Enough is enough. Over and out....

Note
slept:7.5 (injured) (rest day)

Lie-in for once (9.40!) after watching the Neurotics last night. Cant beat early 80s angry-punk! Decided to give body a rest ahead of tomorrow's event. Knee still sore - and worringly very tender if I try to kneel on it.

Good steady run back from work - extended via path to Hunts Road, Churchill and town. Felt relaxed and quite strong.

Off-road running 34:00 [2] 4.5 mi (7:33 / mi)

Awake early. Easy run to work with an extension up Hunts and Richmond Road. Knee swollen but not too sore to run on.

Running 45:50 [3] 6.5 mi (7:03 / mi)

Steady pace run back via Oxford Road, Churchill Coll, Mad Road and into town & back. Knee not too sore and no problem with Hammy. What a curious being is the human body!
