Note
slept:8.0 (sick)

Felt pretty rubbish again so slobbed it again. Roll on Friday!

Saturday Dec 13, 2008 #

Off-road running (Steady pace run) 43:30 [2] 6.0 mi (7:15 / mi)
slept:8.0 shoes: Asics Enduro

Felt rubbish and even worse in strong winds. Just lacked any positive feeling so cut it short - had intended to run longer but no point when it feels like this. Spent rest of day on sofa!

Friday Dec 12, 2008 #

Note
(rest day)

No circuits.... Head of PE being lazy! So decided to have my own lie-in and rest day. Chevrolet Matiz is proving to be a sexy little runaround!

Thursday Dec 11, 2008 #

Running (Steady pace run) 51:30 [2] 7.0 mi (7:21 / mi)
slept:7.0

Morning run - to Ely Station - train and up from Cambridge with an extension into Histon. Felt ok.

Running (Steady pace run) 50:30 [3] 7.0 mi (7:13 / mi)

Back from school via Chesterton, Jesus Green and Mill Road. Felt quite bouncy and ran at a decent tempo (hence the 3 rather than a 2). Got tea from Tesco and ran up the hill and home with heavy shopping so qualifies as weights as well!

Wednesday Dec 10, 2008 #

Off-road running warm up/down 20:00 [1] 2.5 mi (8:00 / mi)
slept:5.5

Early morning warm up and down on the playing fields. Cold and frosty.

Off-road running intervals 34:00 [4] 5.0 mi (6:48 / mi)

Ran 3 x 10 mins (with 2 mins recovery). First rep on the playing field then 2 and 3 were out and back across the edge of the ploughed fields, woods and track behind the school. Good stuff - especially at 7.30 in the morning!

Tuesday Dec 9, 2008 #

Running (Steady pace run) 39:30 [2] 6.0 mi (6:35 / mi)
slept:7.5

Managed to get out after feeling very drained and down all day. In the end was able to run at a decent pace around Ely. Felt quite bouncy and far more positive after the run... the recuperative and restorative power of running!

Note
slept:7.5

No training today. On way to school on the back roads (due to a clogged A10) and hit ice on right hand bend. Tried to adjust but was hopeless. Car ended up down 6 foot ditch at 75 degree angle. Clambered out thanks to the assistance of the guy driving behind me. Shaken but no real damage (to me!). Car in hospital for a couple of weeks. Great!
