Exhausted from too much. Had fallen asleep at 8pm last night. Woke 1.30sh and didn't get back until 4.30am. Took it much easier today.

One small step, one giant leap... Lovely afternoon so walked to Moss Side Farm and back... no discomfort and clearly wonderful to get out and about again.

Wednesday Oct 16, 2019 #

Note
slept:7.4 (sick)

Slept better (although had felt pretty low last night)... got taken out for lunch by Faye and friends which was nice and I managed a short (300m) walk around the hotel grounds. Felt pretty tired once home, although unable to nap as Mike visited. Quiet day tomorrow.

Tuesday Oct 15, 2019 #

Note
slept:7.0 (sick)

A bit more of a restless sleep - felt tense. Woke 5.30sh. Managed to get throguh day without nap and also walked c. 400m up to the hotel and back with no probs. Apparently 20% of heart attack people over 45 have another attack within 5 years. Hmmmm!

Monday Oct 14, 2019 #

Note
slept:7.2 (sick)

Decent night sleep back home and also had a long atfernoon kip of 1.5 hrs. Felt low and really wrecked today.

Sunday Oct 13, 2019 #

Note
slept:5.0 (sick)

Slept uncomfortably as wrist continued bleeding late; eventually got off and woke earlyish. Was able to get away from the hospital by 3.

Saturday Oct 12, 2019 #

Note
(sick)

Hoping to be done early but in queue; finally seen at 3 and an interesting experience it was for sure. Surreal! Anyway heart attack confirmed with one blocked artery and another needing future treatment. Two stents fitted. Imagine my life if I hadn’t run!?! Scary but affirming too.

Friday Oct 11, 2019 #

Note
(sick)

Transferred into Papworth and a day of waiting... in vain.

Thursday Oct 10, 2019 #

Note
slept:6.5 (sick)

Better spirits & another quiet day of reading and the now usual meds & monitoring. Dr confirmed I’ll be in Papworth Friday for angiogram which will determine exactly whether heart attack or myocarditis and then follow on treatments. Sarah finally able to get down from Cumbria too.

Wednesday Oct 9, 2019 #

Note
slept:7.5 (sick)

Better nights sleep though feeling a bit lower mood wise today. To be expected. Family and friend visits helped. Saw Dr at 3sh who said they're waiting for place at Papworth for the angio and cardiograms. Finally removed from heart monitor too. Onto statins and beta blockers.

Tuesday Oct 8, 2019 #

Note
slept:3.5 (sick)

Not a great nights sleep but have own room which is amazing. Seen by consultant at 10am who repeated the likely diagnosis and the plan of monitoring and observation in Adds before transfers to Papworth. Thank God I decided to wait until coming to Cambs to get seen! A day of blood tests, ECG and meds.

Monday Oct 7, 2019 #

Note
slept:7.0 (sick)

Interesting day. Left Cumbria later than usual as feeling not great. Got GP appointment and headed there for 4pm. Described symptoms and got tested on ECG and got told to report to A&E at Addenbrokes. Arrived to a madhouse - however got seen relatively quickly with loads of tests and into the medical treatment area where I was put in the 'major injury/illness booth'. I realised that it was not going to be plain sailing and so mentally prepared for the Dr when he said suspected heart attack. Up to CCU, in reasonably good spirits!

Tried to see how things might be exercising again - painful was the answer, especially on the ascents. Walked Doggy up Hev Head over to Hincaster and then to the canal to the West Showground to watch a very muddy National Trophy Cyclocross. Back via the roads. Suffering badly by the end.

Saturday Oct 5, 2019 #

Note
slept:7.0 (sick) (rest day)

Needed this... from reading all the stuff we could online, it seemed to suggest the problem could be pericarditis. Took ibuprofen which seemed to ease the pain.
