Decided to take legs out for trot. Got to 9 mins n felt ok then calf started to seize up. Stopped, walked and stretched it n managed to get back with no further mishaps. Gonna have to watch it.

Easy run - starting with a walk. No real pain when running (except a numb/tight sensation) but very conscious of the calf and took it very easy. Still sore to touch...

Intervals on Brand Field... Started with 8 x 1min (60secs recov) and then did 1 x BF Mile (5.45) and was 2 mins into second one when I got a burning sensation in my right leg just below the main calf muscle. Thought I'd been bitten and rubbed leg, but it didn't feel outside the body and within a couple more strides I knew it was the muscle going (same problem as after the Cambridge Half). Eased to a walk and limped home... Bugger.

Decent paced aerobic run around the Ely loop... Pretty warm (25c) and felt fine, although felt a bit rough in the final 2 miles. Felt tired today and slept for over an hour this afternoon.

First ever Parkrun around Milton Country Park - a twisty/turny course but good fun and perfect to be used over the months ahead to gauge fitness. Felt relaxed through 1K (3.36), 7.05 at 2K, 10.45 (3k) - starting to struggle and got to 4K in 14.24. Still it was great to be racing again and a thousand mile journey starts with one step.

O&B run throuhg the village and up the southern hill - chased by a mutt at one point and deployed stealth tactics on return - stick, walking n whistling 'Men of Harlech' - it worked.
