slept:8.0 shoes: Nike Air Pegasus

Nice and easy jog in the rain around Kings plus extension to Tesco.

Friday Oct 30, 2009 #

Sore legs from yesterday... plus spent day in London - British Museum. Pretty good.

Thursday Oct 29, 2009 #

Off-road running 30:05 [3] 4.0 mi (7:31 / mi)
slept:7.5 shoes: Nike Air Pegasus

Still feeling tired and drained from the weekend. Ran easy and felt weary: KS, GC and CH.

Football 1:00:00 [3]

Drove down to Amherst Field. Lovely session with lots of shuttles and turns designed to improve mobility and lower leg strengh. Played until the light went out.

Off-road running warm up/down 16:00 [2] 2.0 mi (8:00 / mi)

Easy running before and after football.

Wednesday Oct 28, 2009 #

Note
slept:6.5 (rest day)

Awake early (no reason apart from desire to write a magazine article!) and still felt very tired n leg sore from the weekend so one more day wont harm me. Exciting plans in head.

Tuesday Oct 27, 2009 #

Note
slept:9.0 (rest day)

Felt tired from the weekend's exertions so took it easy and watched 'The Mist' - excellent low-budget horror.

Monday Oct 26, 2009 #

Walking hills 5:20:00 [3] ** 10.0 mi (32:00 / mi) +940m 24:46 / mi

Yonked on own from farm to end of Lyn Ogwen, joined by two colleagues, straight up Pen yr Ole Wen (what a scramble!), Carnedd Dafydd, Carnedd Llewelyn and then I descended rapidly back to the farm (via the interesting mini-Striding Edge that is Bwlch Eryl Farchog). Jogged last 2k. Sweet. Showered and on road within 25 mins for the 4.5 hour drive back to Cambs.

Sunday Oct 25, 2009 #

Walking hills 5:00:00 [1] ** 6.0 mi (50:00 / mi) +780m 35:37 / mi

Mountain walk with the D of E kids: up to Cwm Idwal, Twll Du, Glyder Fawr, Glyder Fach and back to the farm. Nice: very windy but not as wet.

Saturday Oct 24, 2009 #

Off-road running hills 1:06:00 [4] ** 5.0 mi (13:12 / mi) +320m 11:01 / mi

Ascent up Snowdon (fell-running style). Up the Pyg track which was a nightmare in the torrential rain and ferocious winds (gusts estimated to be over 80mph). My clothes were soaked within 20 mins and eventually abandoned above Glaslyn. Descended to the Miners and back to the car at Pen-y-pass. Need a proper mountain-running waterproof.

Thursday Oct 22, 2009 #

Monday Oct 19, 2009 #

Sunday Oct 18, 2009 #

Note
slept:6.0 (rest day)

Saturday Oct 17, 2009 #

Running warm up/down 24:00 [1] 2.7 mi (8:53 / mi)

Easy jogging before and after the Cambridge race.

Orienteering race 39:25 [5] 6.5 km (6:04 / km)
slept:8.0

Cambridge City Race... lovely event - some good long legs with route choice and some shorter ones requiring more detailed map reading to pick up the best lines; ran pretty clean except for one 30 second error where i thought I could run up the side of a border on what looked like webbing but was denoted as grass. Did feel the effects of the stomach bug/upset and couldnt run as hard I'd like to have... but still a decent performance.

Friday Oct 16, 2009 #

Note
(sick) (rest day)

Rest day - was also in London - but still didnt feel great with the dodgy tum. Still want to compete tomorrow so hopefully this will help.

Thursday Oct 15, 2009 #

Running 40:57 [3] 5.5 mi (7:27 / mi)
shoes: Nike Air Pegasus

Steady early morning run around the city. Felt ok and quite perky in spite of the early start.

Note
(sick)

Had hoped to do a second run but a dodgy tum put paid to that....

Wednesday Oct 14, 2009 #

Running 53:15 [3] 7.0 mi (7:36 / mi)

Steady early morning run from the College into town and back. Felt quite good.

Tuesday Oct 13, 2009 #

Running 47:00 [2] 6.5 mi (7:14 / mi)
slept:6.5

Tired after last night's Open Evening. Ran from town and managed to get threatened and abused by a dog owner who couldnt keep his young mutt under control. Great! Apart from that a gloriously chilly autumnal morning.

Running 44:35 [3] 6.5 mi (6:52 / mi)

And back from work via same route. Felt perky and ran at quite a tempo. Lovely evening and no savage dog-owners this time. Right thigh was a little tight - will need to watch this.

Monday Oct 12, 2009 #

Off-road running 31:40 [2] 4.0 mi (7:55 / mi)
slept:7.5 shoes: Nike Air Pegasus

Felt tired for most of the day and legs a bit tight after yesterday....

Thursday Oct 8, 2009 #

Running 50:00 [2] 5.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
slept:5.0

Easy jog with some fast walking from Marshalls to College. Managed to do it shortly after a Big Breakfast with no comeback!!! Lovely morning in the autumnal sun.

Running 34:31 [3] 5.0 mi (6:54 / mi)
shoes: Nike Air Pegasus

Back over to collect the car. Felt ok and ran quite decently.

Monday Oct 5, 2009 #

Note
slept:7.0 (sick) (rest day)

A final day of rest (i hope). Woke feeling very crap - burbling tum and headache continues. Thought about a sick-day but got into work and felt better as day wore on (just as well as didnt get home til 9pm). Hope to be back training tomorrow.

Sunday Oct 4, 2009 #

Note
(sick) (rest day)

Felt dodgy from the outset so another resty. Was up early to watch Grand Prix and seemed to suffered as well as a result. Had 2 naps as well to try n compensate.

Saturday Oct 3, 2009 #

Note
(rest day)

Still felt very tired and drained...... sure i've had something this week. Had intended to play football, but just too lazy/comfortable relaxing. Probably no bad thing, as i've had 3 decent weeks.

Friday Oct 2, 2009 #

Running 32:30 [2] 4.2 mi (7:44 / mi)
slept:6.5 (sick) shoes: Adidas Response

Easy morning run down Grange Road, Lammas and back thru town. Low intensity, but a real effort and felt shit. Pig Bug?

Thursday Oct 1, 2009 #

Note
slept:7.5 (sick)

Woke tired and drained still after yesterday. In work but didnt feel great and came back early (for me... still light!).
