Brown X course at Bellevue State Park near Wilmington, DE. 1.9km, 18m climb nominal, set by Tom O (after some back and forth negotiations and redesigning with the park). Tom did a great job and took us to woods areas as well as wide open fields. After waking up to 30F, it warmed up to mid 40s by the time I started.
I overran #6, and neglected to look at the clue for #10, corner of stone wall (it was the *inside* corner). The error at #6 cost more than the one at #10. Otherwise I did the best I could to make route choices quickly, and execute them as fast as my body would allow. Happy with my time/place.

Brown X Middle at Iron Hill Park near Newark, DE. 2.6 km, 65m climb nominal, also set by Tom O. We hadn't been in this park since the last A meet here, and many changes have occurred in the meantime (including disc gold courses, and a new residential development in the southern portion. Mid 50s and sunny.
Not a clean run, but I again was happy that I was able to jog on the trails. Well, I did fall once when I looked at the map rather than where my feet were going on a trail, but no damage.
I wasn't careful with bearing to #1, figuring I could read all the detail of the disc golf areas, but that wasn't the case. I knew it wasn't mine but checked the number on a control on a rootstock near a ditch just to be sure and possibly identify it to use to correct, but that didn't help much. Finally saw Jim Eagleton who I was pretty sure was also on BrX coming towards it and saw where he went.
Happy with my route to 2. Jim found 3 before 2 and was correcting as I approached 3. I saw him again several places later on the course, too.
The area around 6 was hard to read with all the trails and contours so I looped around to the north on trails and hoped I picked the right ones, but found the other large(r) boulder outside the circle to the SSE before correcting.
I should have cut through woods from 6-7 but went out of my way on trails. Jim E., who'd punched 6 at the same time as me, attacked from the trail when I did, though he'd taken a different route to get there. I had him in my sights for most of the rest, though he, and many others, outgunned me on the run-in from the Go control.
Nice to meet Lex and Pete's granddaughter and see Johnny as a grownup/dad. They were only there for this event.
