Exerc. Class 55:00 [1]

Nice class, no stepping. Good thing because I was having a mystery pain on bottom of right foot (ahead of heel at back of arch) but muddled through.

Walking 48:53 [2] 4.48 km (10:54 / km) +37m 10:28 / km
shoes: Trail NB 704 8.5D

(Subtracted the 43 minutes of standing around in the middle.)

Walked south on 66 to see if I could photograph any gravestones in the family cemetery on a hill (in the middle of a field) near us. I discovered the Find A Grave site while looking for one of my own ancestors (grave not found...yet), and discovered there are requests for photos of gravestones nearby. I can do that (if I can find the proper headstone and it's not too 'gravely' damaged).

Also drove to the North Chatham cemetery but could not find any of the three headstones requested there. There are several broken / unreadable / face-down gravestones in that cemetery. I don't anyone vandalized them, but frost heaving and acid rain over the years do enough damage.

Recorded this and the next to get coordinates to add to the Find A Grave site.

Orienteering (control placing/pick-up) 1:50:00 [1] ***
spiked:21/22c slept:6.5 shoes: Inov8 ORoc280-A 2013-08

Set up some controls on the north end of Peebles Island for our local meet while Glen did the rest. Was in the wrong shallow formline depression (2.5m contours) for one, but Glen had streamered this one and I soon realize I needed to go one depression over.

Picked up 10 controls on the west side of the island after everyone finished, only one a duplicate of the morning's exercise, so I got to appreciate again how gloriously open that section is. :-) Jogged a little on the way out since they were slightly farther away than the morning's set.

Nice turnout of club members and other 'veterans'; only one group needed instruction, I think.

Forgot to turn on my GPS watch so I just timed on my regular watch.

And son#2 who lives a mile away from the park came and did the long course, while his girlfriend went out on White. :-) Then they picked up their new dog from a local shelter.

Pilates class 55:00 [2]

Substitute Allison was in for Mary (who's in Florida) today. Lower abs will probably be sore tomorrow! Intense class with very little stretching time allotted (so I did my own where needed).

Pulldowns and adductors after; no aerobics today.

Exerc. Class 55:00 [1]

With some stepping today, which my knees weren't so sure about but they survived. Bench presses lying on the step (so arms can go back even farther than when on the floor), so I wonder if upper chest muscles will be tender tomorrow. Didn't seem hard at the time.

Note

Spring allergies attacked with a vengeance this evening....
10 AM

Pilates class (weights) 55:00 [1]

A few weights thrown in at the end (reclined overhead triceps and sitting overhead presses).

One evil new move had us elevate both legs to 90 degrees then drop one to point across the room (about 45 degrees, or less), twist midsection and stretch opposite arm toward that leg, and THEN, when we were all set up, move the other leg up and down! Fantastically hard; I had better success on one side vs the other.
11 AM

Walk/Jog (indoor track) 31:43 intensity: (3:32 @1) + (22:24 @2) + (5:47 @3) 2.2 mi (14:25 / mi)
shoes: Sauc.Shad-6000#8-2014H

Walked first mile, jogged a half mile and walked the second half, then a few cool down laps. (I wanted to get it over with faster, but only had enough energy to jog the half.) So tired now.

Pulldowns after, plus leg stretches.
