Orienteering race (Green course) 1:24:03 [3] *** 5.03 km (16:43 / km) +135m 14:44 / km
spiked:9/12c shoes: Jala Jukola Spider 6 (old)

At Ansonia (WCOC)meet/US Team fund-raiser. Missed on 3 controls for about 5:30-6:00 lost. Kept track of where I was on the others, though it was slow going out there in some places due to rock underfoot. Good courses, and great weather (about 50 and sunny).

Not enough energy to also go out on the "short" course (advertised at 2.9, it was really closer to 4.2k), and I was glad I didn't (technical problem with control description on one control).

Exerc. Class 55:00 [1]

Circuit workout at exercise class (after warm up), alternating weights with step aerobics. General all around good exercise but not too strenuous today.

On my way to class I passed the local swimming hole; perched on the diving platform (still in the pond, though they remove it when it starts to freeze) was a heron looking for the little fishies that swim there. It was so neat to see him/her there!

I took my kids there for lessons until the year one of them came down with nasty intestinal distress. The pond does attract its share of Canada geese....
