Note
(rest day)

3.5 mile race tomorrow (Indian Ladder Trail Run at Thacher; and no, it doesn't go down the Indian Ladder staircase )

Running (paved) warm up/down 24:14 [3] 2.0 mi (12:07 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Shadow 6000 8.5 #2

Ran to my milepoint (near the church, that I usually walk to) to find a hill in the shade to do hill intervals. Okay, so this is the first time I've done this; I don't know how far I'm supposed to go or how long to recover, so I just go up and down this one hill, and then run back home. This time counts the mile out and mile back, not the hills.

Running (paved) hills 11:30 [4] 1.05 mi (10:57 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Shadow 6000 8.5 #2

Probably just over a mile total, up and down this small hill (what most of you would probably call a bump). Here are the run/recovery times:
0:58 / 1:00 (jogging back down to start point)
0:55 / 0:59
0:51 / 1:01
0:50 / 1:02
0:54 / 1:22 (I know I walked down the hill on this one)
0:45 / 1:02

Walking 39:13 [3] 2.5 mi (15:41 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Shadow 6000 8.5 #1

Walked before dinner, as it was clearing up (rain off and on all day); still humid, but not so bad.

Earlier I'd spread peat moss and pine bark mulch on the rest of the area I'd weeded, and was pouring sweat within minutes.

Exerc. Class 55:00 [2]

Hot, humid, sweaty day today at The Firm. She picked a faster-than-usual set of music of the workout today, and the high humidity didn't help. But it's all good!

Exerc. Class 55:00 [1]

In the new location (American Legion hall). Not bad, in the summertime when we can open all the windows and doors. We'll have to see about in winter... Just a little more effort to get the equipment out and put away.

Running (dirt) 1:07:29 [3] 3.7 mi (18:14 / mi)
shoes: Trail NB 706 9D # 1

Grafton Lakes S.P. (unmapped part south of Rt. 2) around Dunham Reservoir. Distance estimated from a poor map. Double Bit trail from canoe launch to the spillway, then out a trail/old road/driveway to Dunham Road, because it didn't look nice crossing the spillway (and dam later on). About 0.6m on the road before heading back into the woods. I couldn't find the trailhead so bushwhacked in along the reservoir, THEN climbed up to the Dunham trail which I knew was higher up the ridge. It climbed and wended through some really neat, rocky terrain before heading back downhill to the reservoir.
