Running 20:00 [3] 2.0 km (10:00 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280

Almost late for my start..

Orienteering race 1:00:39 [4] 9.0 km (6:44 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280

Day 6 - Ardchattan

This area was much better than I thought it would be. Had a great race, felt strong all the way. Picked the pace up near the end and made 2 little mistakes, luckily didn't loose too much time. Orienteered really well on the hill, picking off the features and executing route choice.

Very pleased to win today!
-good run from Lewis as well.

Running 20:00 [3] 2.0 km (10:00 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280

Ran to the start with Alex.

Orienteering race 1:05:29 [4] 8.5 km (7:42 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280

Day 5 - Lochnell and Shenavallie.

Had a fantastic run, felt a lot stronger than the other days. The area was flatter so suited me more. Lost a bit of time in a vague area but I can't complain.

This day was for the strong runners - lots of marsh and bog running - so I was very pleased to come 2nd! Times got quicker as the day went on and luckily I had a middle start. Shame for Lewis who had an early start as he had a clean run just the terrain was so much slower.

Orienteering race 1:17:33 [4] 10.0 km (7:45 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280

Day 4 - had another good result today! Technical first and last section of the course which I enjoyed. Rough open moor middle section which I dragged myself around. Didn't loose much time just bits on every leg due to running speed.

Orienteering race 1:05:33 [4] 9.0 km (7:17 / km)

Day 3 - Creag Mhic

Had a good run today again. Didn't push too hard on the running which paid off as I didn't loose too much time at all. Lots of long legs which made it mentally tough. Lots of marsh and heather running so very physical. Lost time near the end where I drifted right on a long leg across a large marsh and then unsure about where I was into the control.

3rd place, 5 mins down on Peter and 1 min on Christopher Prunsche.

Orienteering race 25:05 [4] 4.0 km (6:16 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280

Day 2 - middle race.

Had a great day today. I was oienteering really well and didnt think about the running. Lost up to 2 minutes in total. Took the first few controls easy which was really important and then it was over before I knew it.

Very happy after the year I've had to do well in a big race!!

Running warm up/down 20:00 [3] 1.0 km (20:00 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280

Orienteering race 1:02:01 [4] 8.0 km (7:45 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280

Day 1 - plan today was to take it steady and get the o right. Save energy for the rest of the week.
Did this which resulted in an average result, but felt happy with my run - orienteering great and legs felt strong. Didn't feel the climb as much as I thought as well.

Will start to push it as the week goes on.
