Misc (Parasailing) 1 [0] +2m

Out with a young couple, and luckily for them, no one else, since they both got motion sickness. Rough ride around to the ocean, and they they were up first. Fun, but not really very thrilling. And, I didn't get sick.

11 AM

Biking 54:01 [1] 9.07 mi (5:57 / mi) +3m 5:57 / mi

Anoth bike ride, another bridge, or two to conquer. Fun coming back with the wind - speed indicator clocked me at 25mph!

May rent a kayak tomorrow and see some closer up of the bay...

7 PM

Walking (Boardwalk) 10:00 [1]

Trying to find Johnson's. Wish I hadn't - ate most all of a "small" the next day.

Biking 1:00:00 [1] 11.5 mi (5:13 / mi) +3m 5:13 / mi

A ride over towards Atlantic City, and then back to OC, along the bay side.

Harder getting to the top of the bridge on the return trip into the wind!

But, I made it!

The cottage we are staying in...

And a pretty hibiscus...

Ocean City, NJ with Nora - 4-5 nights
4 PM

Trail Run 36:41 [1] 2.37 mi (15:29 / mi)

Ran 1/4 mile, walked 1/4 mile X 2, then walked the rest. Along the way, I looked for beach treasures, and I thought about my mom and how much she loved coming to Ocean City this week each year.

After, I took a refreshing swim in the ocean.

Today's turtles...I wonder if people leave offerings?

Aunt Nora...

Swimming 30:00 [1]

A sticky day at work, so a swim was good, especially since it is between summer camps and school swim classes - water was cool and crisp.

Yesterday, after the thunder storms had gone through, TWO turtles were sighted in the backyard. Will have to rely on the AP turtle expert to answer Roger's query on why one was so much darker than what we usually see...or, I could google it...but I'll let Anna have first shot at it...

Biking 31:30 [1]

Legs a little dead at first, but then better, possibly because they knew it was a short session. :). Hot, hot, hot!

A week in the books.

Walking 31:30 [1]
weight:189lbs

At this rate, by the weekend, I will walk so late one day, that I may as well keep walking into the next day...very dark by the time I was done. Did a bunch of up and down the neighborhood hills. Unsettled day, so I was happy to get out and clear my head and only concentrate on putting one foot in front of the other without hurting myself.

Walking 32:30 [1]
weight:189lbs

Left it a little late in the day for me, but the thought of failing on day 5 was enough motivation to go out the door. Enjoyed it, and even met a new neighbor...Paula has lived here seven years. :)
