Map, compass, heather, bog, studded shoes, terrain.
Round some of Dunrod hill to see if I can set up a Maprun course there. Hope to use my GPS tracks to place the controls in places other people can find them!

"Medium" Maprun course on Mains Estate. Quite good fun, if a little damp. All controls beeped.

Hill run 1:05:00 [3] 8.0 km (8:08 / km) +400m 6:30 / km

Straight on assault on (or by) the face of the Campsies above Strathblane with Ty and Iain. Went uphill so slowly that Strava subtracted about 15 minutes claiming we were standing still. Mind you Strava had a maximum gradient of 49% so it clearly exagerates a bit.

Mountain Biking 1:05:00 [3] 18.1 km (3:35 / km) +210m 3:24 / km

Nice ride via Douglaston, Reservoirs, Khyber Field and into Craigallean where the rear wheel ate the rear mech. Fortunately could do a high geared single speed home waiting for a catastrophic grunge from the rear that didn't materialise.
