Scottish Night Champs.
A bit wild and windy on the Pentlands. On my own pretty much throughout (which is one of my excuses for being a second behind Patrick :-)).
Out of the start and utterly befuddled by the mapping of the paths, further befuddled by some ditches and vegetation, including strange printing of the light green which was almost indistinguishable from the rough open colour. However minor grumbling aside, it was good to get out and have serious night race.

Short pause in the middle when my crash-damaged camera took a suicidal leap off the bike - no idea where it went on a dark, wet, busy road.

Shortest attempted commute for a while! 350m from home and a wheelie bin launched a surprise attack from the pavement and took out my front wheel. I did a short, poor, superman impersonation starting at 28kph and ending on the road. L knee, hand and elbow a little bruised - we'll see what else hurts this evening. The 5 minutes includes the short, slow, walk home :-)
