Sluie for the Scottish Relay Champs.
A strong Clyde team of Donald, Steve and myself.
Usual fun confusion about team placings throughout so set off on my own with no idea of where I was. Well warned about lots of windblow and random tracks which was a help. Came together with Jon X about 1/2 way round. Turned out he'd been for a bit of a wander. Racing him for the rest of the course which was finally decided near the end when we both missed a flag in the marsh and on the way out he briefly sank. Eyeballs out for the last 2 controls for a very narrow win which turned out to be for the handicap overall trophy. Very pleased team mates.

Quite a respectable run in a lovely forest. Enjoyed it even if it was quite a long outing for me. Even a completely clean run would not have got me up from 4th to 3rd and never the 7 minutes required to get ahead of Charlie and Martin W

Relatively gentle, chatty run to the top of Cochno Hill and back. Avoiding Dunellen out of fear of large animals. Windy with occasional rainbow inducing rain. Fortunately AW was feeling tired so the pace was fine.

Bits of the John Muir Way and 3 Lochs route between Balloch and Helensburgh. Lovely social outing and the weather played well too. There were also lunch stops.

Lovely outing on Loch Ordie for SOL3 (Short Brown). Really a clean run on a lovely area. Quite a lot of to and fro with Fraser P who started 4 minutes ahead but had more fun than intended at #1. 2:18 behind Jase.

Scottish Middle Distance on Kinnoull Hill.
No enormous mistakes, but frequently befuddled by the multiplicity of paths (and my lack of recent practice in forest). Good fun on a lovely day and surprised to be only 24 seconds down on the fastest pretty old man (Tim G).

Intended as a recreational outing, pretty much succeeded. WHW to Strathblane, cycle track to Lennoxtown, up through Lennox Forrest and back vis Mugdock Village. Nice lunch stop by the trig point.
