Orienteering race 31:30 [3] 3.4 km (9:16 / km) +100m 8:05 / km

Out very early. Nice area, only big mistake at 2, but not smooth enough, and being first finisher didn't help in the bracken at the end. 9th but 40s behind 3rd (and 4:30 behind a flying Tim T in 1st)

Scottish 6 day - Day 2 Eninchip.
New area, open moor, semiopen moor and some forest. Good area and a fun run. Can't work out why I won today either, although things were quite close. Toe still not perfectly happy, but not enough to stop me. Only major error was to 14 where I chose a poor route and executed it poorly, probably 40 seconds or less (I expected the loss to be more). Didn't get caught out by the "do not cross" river that many fell foul of.

M55L Scottish 6-day - Day 1
Surprise win on the opening day. Probably helped by a middle start and maybe a little luck but I'll take it. Complicated area and managed to avoid any big mistakes. Toe definitely not right on occasions, let's see how it is tomorrow.

E from Dunbar along the edge of the golf course. Some toe testing beach running and boulder hopping. Seems OK....

Gentle morning round Mains estate, a bit of WHW (full of walkers and dogs), and back round Mains again. Enlivened by a comedy dismount where I stopped on a tricky bit, put my foot down, and then gently toppled sideways as my foot disappeared into a deep, muddy ditch. Fortunately no audience.

Turned bicycle repair man on the way home. Spotted someone a bit familiar looking walking with a bike, and wearing a WOC 2015 T-shirt. Turned out to be PAW with a puncture. Had a good chat as we sorted it out.

Dunellen on my own, very wet some of the time. Toe not too bad, although still suspicious that I'm slightly twisted. Felt pretty slow.

Trying out the Maprun orienteering app on my phone going round the Medium course at Baljaffray. Had lots of help setting it up, and it seems to work well.
