Running 35:00 [3] 5.0 km (7:00 / km)
shoes: Salomon Trailpro

Found a treadmill that allowed a longer run. Started off suffering from weekend runs but after two sessions of walking the joints seemed to have realigned and was able to run till the machine stopped totaling out at 5km with all walking and cooling down.

Orienteering race (Long) 2:14:50 [4] 7.0 km (19:16 / km) +250m 16:21 / km
shoes: Montrail Highlander

I knew it was going to be bad after the struggle to find 1. Path to green thicket and then a bearing. Problem - wrong green thicket...... I could see one of those days ahead. Next two went fine bearing to 4 smack on - wrong control another 2:30 to find the right one about 50m away. 5,6 and 7 were fine. 8 came of the hill too far right and searched a hill side covered in small shaale cliffs for about 5 minutes with the help of a herd of cows.9 ,10,11,12 OK barring a trip onto rocks at 12 (Blue thumb as evidence today). Already 1:12 on th course so decided to tackle the long leg on a bearing rather than taking paths (figured I would save some distance on my legs) - landed up being way left and not being able to find anything that matched where I was. Persisted until I found somthing that made sense and worked back from 16 to 13 and the rest went well but probably covered an extra 750m and 100m of climb at half the pace. Dead after the race.
This is an area I dont think I will be back running at in a hurry.

Got my moneys worth...
