I knew this day was coming, but that doesn't make me any more enthusiastic. Zack bought a motorcycle, and is in a flurry of getting a motorcycle permit, registering it, etc.
Weekly session with Eric. Things are improving a bit, but he (and I) are counseling patience. I did a few sets of BOSU squats mixed in, which went absolutely fine.
Weight has been creeping up, and beginning to be annoying. I haven't been too worried about it while I have had bigger fish to fry pursuing recovery from the back situation, but now I am beginning to feel the basketball in the stomach sensation (or maybe a volleyball at this state) and I am about to embark on some L&F.

Rhonda's morning class, or at least most of it. Well attended this morning.

With Rhonda from Pleasant Valley. Hard to pass up with 78 degrees F. A fine start to the biking season, and seemed to be fine for my back. Just gentle. Very nice.

I had it in mind to see if I could do this in under an hour. I had always thought it was feasible. but it demands a fair amount of concentration and effort. Not to mention that running into a neighbor for conversation would doom the attempt. Rhonda is a very fast walker, but put off by anything as foolish as a PR attempt, so better to try this solo, so I did it while she was out. Pretty satisfactory, and the hardest effort I've been able to put into anything in quite a while. Excellent therapy for the back, which seems to like this better than anything short of the hot tub.
Still inflamed, but feeling a little better each day from all the stretching and some gradual healing. Every several days I have tried a few strokes on the rowing machine, and thought this might be a time I could actually do some. Tried 10 strokes and then left to see what happened. Stiffened right up, so it is not time yet.

Around the neighborhood, by myself as Rhonda wasn't in the mood. Pushed the pace a bit. Includes about a minute or so chewing the fat with Kathleen, who stopped in her car to say hi.

around the neighborhood with Rhonda again, this time a bit extended, all the way down Bunker Hill to Barbourtown and then back up, but without the Garmin which had used up its battery. Walking better and better, but still very inflamed in the back on the left.
Lots of stretching helps. Seems to be taking a really long time.
