While Seline, Andi and Michi did a Jogging, I had a lazy morning with my book in the bus.

orienteering race 1:16:00 [4] *** 5.0 km (15:12 / km) +200m 12:40 / km
spiked:12/18c slept:9.0 shoes: VJ Bolt

The first part was an aisle-labyrinth which I liked very much. Was the only one though - the others did look at contour lines and other map information - which produced long time-losses because the map was bad. I didn't realize this, because I simply did right-left like in urban-O.
Lost at 7 and to 9 and 10.
To 11 my route was not optimal and because I missed a path I got stuck in the greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen (even a bit scary inside there)
Nice finish in the village.

Note

Very happy, that I could run all the races. Will wear the footrests even for trainings the next time.
The foot still hurts a bit while walking, but not more while or after running.
Now I'll give it some rest again till it completely stops hurting.

orienteering race 47:00 [4] *** 5.0 km (9:24 / km) +160m 8:06 / km
spiked:16/23c shoes: Asics Enduro

City-O in Avignon. Great terrain!
Had a very bad race.
- small detour to 1
- 2-5 ok
- 6: thought, that the control description was not clear and took a detour for the case that the control would be inside the small park.
- 7: didn't see the fastest option
- 8 and 9: control description was inside-corner, and that could mean inside or outside the fence for me. My chance was 50/50 and I took the wrong choice - besides not seeing the much shorter route - lost at least 2' there ...
- first I was angry with the organizer, but then realized that it was all my fault: inside- or outside-corners have DIRECTIONS as well and with this the placement is completely clear - at least learned something ;-)
- 10-14: good
- 15: Don't know if this was the fastest route
- 16-18: good
- 19: took a wrong turn-off but profited from the new control-description-awareness at the control itself
- 20-23: tired, not concentrated, small wobbles

First day of the "Avignon"-3-days.
Started with an easy pace which I could hold the whole course (it didn't stay easy though).
Liked the first part. The loop in the end was the same prickly terrain as yesterday. Was completely exhausted after the race.
Mistakes to 8 (2'), 9 (detour 1'), 13 (1'), 15 (2' route and pinning in the thorns)
