Swiss relay champs, Bois Rond.
Elite with Seline and Valérie. 16/23

Seline did a great job and came in 2nd around 30" behind the 1st and just before Ines and Sabine.
Already at the wall where I could take my map I was on 4th position. I knew that I should not even try to follow anyone on my leg, because most of them are much faster than me. So I did a lonely race where I only saw Paula and Bettina each for a short time when they overtook me.
Did mistakes to 1 (2'), 4 (1'), 7 (1'), 9 (3') and 10 (1') and some less than 1'
So I was not really happy with my race and expected that almost all other teams had passed me, but I still came back 7th - many people had done even bigger mistakes.
Valérie fighted with a migraine and with stomac problems. Nevertheless she fighted the forest as well and despite the hardest concurrence on this 3rd leg, she brought our team to the good 16th place.
It was great fun to run with them, and I am really happy they asked me.

3rd National Race - Mont Chaubert, W40: 6/22
I'm happy with my race. Still have about 5' possible improvement, but the forest was tricky and green with bad runability, what provoked most runners to do some mistakes.

Did a lot of direction mistakes. Have the feeling that my compas is too slow. Or is it my compas work which is bad?
Quite nice forest despite the green parts.

Training on the map "Mörstorp" close to Linköping.
With Christian and mikee.
First part was very nice. Then I lost a lot of time finding a space where I could cross a small river - no chance, had to run 500m more to pass it on a road.
On the other side there had gone on quite a lot of logging, so I decided to just follow the nice parts instead of visiting the spots which I had defined as my controls before.
So again ended up in very nice terrain.

Downhill training with Leksands OK
2x150m uphill "running" with downhill orienteering afterwards.
Went not carefully enough and did not find all the controls in this very difficult terrain.

Venla relay, last leg.
close to Paimio.
Had a very good run with only one "lonely" routechoice where I did a mistake on the route.
We all performed well and could defend our top 300 place.

Training on map "Korpimäki" @Paimio
Usually I need a lot of map contact in this terrain - most times with stop.
Today I wanted to check how much of it is really needed and tried to reduce map contact.
It went very well on 8 out of 9 controls, but on the one it failed, I lost a lot of time. Good training, but not a tactic to use at races.

Suunto Games - W40
A very nice long distance race. It's 2 years I haven't orienteered in Finland. Regarding that fact, I'm very satisfied with my race.
I felt very slow, but only did some small mistakes in the control circle (perhaps 4-5' in total).

Berner Abend OL, Länggasse
not a sprint, but on a sprint map.
Very tricky and therefore I had the sprint feeling even with the lower speed.
Was very concentrated to see the routes and dead ends, but did mistakes to the easier controls.
