Orienteering 57:25 [3]

The first orienteering!!!!!! OK Ravinen had a training last week and Steve was taking in the controls today so he set me a course. Only about 5km so I took it preeeeeetty slowly but I could do it at least! I think as far as maps go I think i got a bit lucky because the features were really obvious, although not having grey rock on the map was real strange considering how much there was in the forest. And I got my first taste of a real marsh, so so so so so much water! :/

Running 20:00 [3]

A little jog to move the legs IN STOCKHOLM. My hamstrings have never been so tight and my shoes were very very snug on my feet... But I've made it all the way to 8.10pm!!!

Strength + Conditioning 30:00 [3]

A bit of everything

Running 29:16 [3]

A little jog from home. My back seems to be the most tired after the races from all of that ducking under trees! Ankle was a little stiff at the start but fine :)

Note
(rest day)

NZ was brilliant, but i returned home in a bit of a panic about having so much to get done in two days! The legs were well worked and i'm running on little sleep so i needed a rest today. Feeling pretty stressed right now but still i find myself logging on attackpoint... I'll have to add this to my to-do list so i can tick something else off ;)

Orienteering (QB3 Day 3) 52:19 [3]

Really fun last day i thought. Pretty fun start through the open paddocks and then straight into the tricky stuff! No real mistakes but i didn't have much urgency about me for the first loop, i think i was a bit weak through the forest. Rolled my ankle leaving the paddocks to number 2 and had to have a bit of a walk for a minute or so. It warmed up alright but it was a little tender when i finished and it still is now, it'll be fine though.

Really enjoyed the week! Feel 100x better about my orienteering compared to the weekend before in Canberra. Awesome terrain and maps and trainings!

Orienteering (QB3 Day 2-AM) 25:01 [3]

Not a bad race, a little hesitant on number one and i lost about a minute on 8. I need more confidence, the last 3 controls were so simple but i was still so so so hesitant.

Orienteering (QB3 Day 2-PM) 28:49 [3]

Such a cool idea for an event! Im pretty pathetic at running with other people though. Dropped way too low on number 2, lost Jim and then felt really flat and icky for the next few controls. Feel alot better for the second half of the course when i was navigating by myself so thats kind of positive, have to learn to race like that with other people around.
