Running to the bush section, and then home again. Thank goodness it was possible today without having to swim through a flowing river!
Orienteering (Terrain Intervals) 20:00 [3]
3 x 5:30 intervals, with four minutes rest. I did the loop down the bottom of my house but cutting off some of the track run at the end so it could end up shorter. It was super different going backwards like i did for one, there was almost nothing to pick off on one of the legs. I was pretty happy with it.
Unfortunately i didnt have a whole heap of time between geting home from school and going to work, so this run was cut a bit short. I was so rushed i didnt get to do my usual 'eat everything in the cupboard as soon as i get home' routine, my body was in shock.
Ashtonfield Street-o. I went up two or so streets i had never been up before which was cool. I didnt get too many points, but i went a pretty decent distance i think which was good.
The plan was to do terrain ints, however the bridge was covered with water to the bush near my house and i had work so i didnt have time to go anywhere else. So, i tried to remember the training meant for friday. I did 100m, 200m, 300m, 300m, 200m, 100m with equal recovery. Measuring the distance on my garmin as i went was a bit of a pain though...
I went to the pool instead of the cycle class, i liked getting back to swimming! My arms aren't all that strong... but it was really good. I did 3 sets of 10 laps, so nothing too fast or anything but hopefully my legs will feel relatively fresh tomorrow.
Streeto at Berkley Vale.
I went the bad way to get a good point score, but i decided that it wouldn't matter because i wanted to be out there for the whole time at least. It was a good run, although i slipped over in a drain and came back absolutely saturated so that was pretty gross...
