Felt so average when I got home but perked up when I started jogging and ended up feeling alright! Almost got taken out by an old guy’s fishing backswing though, that wasn’t ideal.
Equally happy and sad about playing netty in Sydney - not with the angels, but at least I still get to run around a court. This comp is a 4 quarter mixed fast 5 outdoor, and it was ridiculously exhausting! Every player covers sooooo much of the court. I have blistered toes and shaky glutes but I loved it!
With Mum in Newcastle, just a nice easy jog. I got up King Edward park from Newcastle beach relatively ok so that was a nice little win for a slow and unfit me. Lovely day!
Felt slightly less good today but I think it was because I had to walk my 15kg work laptop (slight exaggeration but it is ridiculously heavy) home from the train and my core and back and shoulders were struggling big time. Enjoying running in new places though!
This last week has been a huge blur but I’m a bit settled now in a different place for two weeks and felt like I needed a run to de-stress. Was going to turn around after 20 mins but then saw a set of stairs and wanted to feel like I was back in Newcastle with the guys running stairs on Tuesdays so I did 10 reps ;) well smashed after the run home, it was brilliant!
Potentially a little naughty two days in a row but I felt ok and had nothing else I’d rather be doing. And I’ve pulled up ok today (Monday). I’ll will make sure I rest today though and then continue the every second day thing this week, the wound is just a tad irritated I think
Back still not so good but it loosened up a little when I was running. I think it’s a combo of sitting all day and a little bit of stress. I needed this jog!
Caught a train to Ashfield and ran back via four more potential rentals. Accidentally alot further than I planned but it was pretty stop-start with street lights and taking photos of places so I think I'll pull up ok. My legs feel like they've actually done something for the first time in ages, it's amazing!!!
