Still suffering from a cold but I got real sick of feeling as gross mentally and emotionally as I do physically so I thought I'd sweat it out. A little jog from Mary's grandparents along the canal. Absolutely loving having somewhere new to run all the time!

Strength + Conditioning 12:00 [3]

Mary and I had the worlds biggest English afternoon tea and we're feeling a little guilty when we got to dinner time and we were still so full... So we did one tiny set of Brodies core session just to make us feel better.

Spent the day in Copenhagen with Mary and Signe and it was too nice to have a real bed again to get up early enough to run beforehand. But also though I think I may be joining the post-oringen-cold train and I don't want to have that when we're camping again next week!

Found a Sprint map of Bergen on World of O with a course from February this year, so so so fun! We couldn't find a park so ended up starting at number 7 and then joining it up to finish at the same control. Legs didn't feel very fast but i think thats understandable considering i've only been doing long and kinda tough and hilly walks in the last few days. It feels like i've just done heaps of strength sessions stepping up onto rocks and all that, I could even feel my arms hurting when i was running and i think it's from pulling myself up with chains on yesterdays walk... The course took about 21mins and then i just jogged a little extra around waiting for mum

Alot of disappointment from JWOC this year... None of it really went to plan and i really struggled with confidence and ended up just orienteering super slowly and rookie because i was just terrified of making mistakes. Feeling a bit down about it all to be honest but my motivation hasn't been destroyed or anything. Nice to now have a bit of a break tripping around Norway with mum before Oringen though, today was a nice 3hr ish walk.

Easy jog around the sprint model and then some surges. Then walked around a bit of the middle model after. The nerves are increasing!

Orienteering 30:00 [3]

Sprint simulation, ankle felt fine in the warm up and was really strapped up so i gave it a go and it went good! Felt quite sluggish and slow and a bit off in the stomach but nav was fine and i was reading ahead pretty alright which was my focus. Hard to work out a balance between strapping my ankle up really good and not having it too tight on the arches of my feet, that got a bit too sore today. but relieved that i didn't make it worse! And i can rest it all i want again tomorrow.
15min warm up and 5 down, and the sprint was 9minutes something.
