Running (Streeto - Redhead) 44:03 [3]

Oh my goodness i had a shocker. Started with me going through what i thought would be an open patch next to a drain, but turned out to be not so open and i looked super gnarly with blood and cuts on my legs within the first 5 minutes. Then i ran past the track i was going to take to the next control, and then ran past the lane i was going to take to the control after that. So not a brilliant start, when you cant even navigate around the streets its a little concerning :| From then on i guess the nav improved (thank goodness!) but i wasn't feeling too fast today and im probably most disappointed about that... Preeetty nice area though!

The plan was for a group effort around Glenrock (which i'm optimistic can be a weekly thing?! :)) but unfortunately Macey was otherwise occupied and Josh forgot his shoes . So it ended up being just myself which was kinda scary considering i had no real idea where i was going and there were alot of animals making alot of noises... Made it back to the car with only one wrong turn in 56mins so i did an extra little loop but i was struggling pretty bad with my feet. Not only have fridays blisters grown but ive not got two more on the outside of my feet :( So that made for a pretty uncomfortable run, i was ready to stop after about half an hour to be honest. Beach afterwards was pretty great though!

In other news, today is the 10 week mark of mine and Josh's 'one-treat-a-week' bet! We're starting to run out of things to ban and have decided we might have to call it a tie, but that means unless he forgets and eats something bad within the next 12 or so hours we'll both be coming out of it empty handed... Not exactly the outcome i had in mind, i'm still after that North face bag!

First time with the new orthotics and i got blisters in the arches of my feet... Not ideal. And not too sure what to do as far as running goes tomorrow now, kind of a tough thing to heal.

Considered a swim but the walk home was enough to stretch out the legs and i just did some strength. It was a long few hours at uni doing a group assignment... I got my new orthotics today though woo!

Once again rather late... Did the flatter section first and tried to push quite hard so i slowed down more than i would've like on the hills at the end unfortunately. I feel like it's probably going to continue to be that I either end up with a good amount of points or i run a good distance, so i think i'm alright sacrificing my points at the moment aha. Hamstrings are still really sore from monday!

Nice morning run at walka followed by a boost - the greatest! My watch went flat so I'm not sure of the distance and the time is from the clock in the car. Got called in early to work too so super glad I ran early!

Streeto number 1 at Maryland! I had no clue at all how far i could go and ended up being a little late... I wasted a bit of time on a 3 pointer and I think maybe if i'd done my loop anti clockwise i would've skipped it and ended up with a few more points. but alls good, i had a good run :)

Had planned for a hilly run and it was already feeling quite warm outside so it was pretty hard to get out the door to be honest. Uncomfortable and slow but i did it!

Around Ashtonfield with dad. Legs still felt a little sore from wednesday, my hammies particularly. Left foot went numb at around the 30 min mark (im going to make sure i take note of when it happens from now on) but other than that it was alright. Highlight of the run was for sure when dad got tooted at hahahahahahah!

Street-o warm up event at Carrington. 30 min score course so i was back a little late but i decided at the start i wanted to get over the other side of the water. By the time i realised i'd be late i'd already missed out too many controls early on so i thought i may as well still give it a go. Feel pretty alright about the running speed. Especially with the occasional stop-starting to answer questions, kind of forgot how annoying that was... It was a nice flat area though so that helped for sure.

Legs felt a little tired still so i didn't go all out, but it was sprint class though so it was hard to not work really hard. Physically not being able to move my legs as fast as the music has got to be one of the most frustrating things ever.
