Newcastle O Y event
Mmm, not such a good day for me. The start of my course was alright, but then i stuffed up number 9 because of the little tracks. And then going to the second last one i wasn't really thinking about the course at all as i was bashing through some green :(

Running race ("Walka Water Works") 16:00 [5] 3.8 km (4:13 / km)

Regional Cross Country

Was pretty slippery and wet today, so i was just proud that i didn't fall over :P I was pretty happy with my run. I was heaps more tired in this race than at zone. I ended up 16th, i think i could've gotten 15th though, i was just too tired. I may have gone out too hard at the start, but i was still at the back of the pack sort of. I got mud flicked in my face because of the people infront of me, way kind of gross. :)

Oh and i don't know what my time was :S I forgot to start my watch.

Mum and i went for a run at night. And mum looked great with her headlamp on!! haha
My knees were so much better than sunday :) they were still hruting a bit, most on down hills, and we were going at a steady pace, but still it's good news :)

Back to school today, and i have heaps of science i have to write out because i missed it.


And my knees were hurting at school even today. They were hurting going up the stairs, and i ran a little bit and i had to stop :(

I felt to lazy because i didn't go to the cycle class because i wasn't sure if it would hurt or not, so i decided i would do some strengthening stuff. It's the first time i have tried it and it was pretty good :)

A good stretch, i need to stretch more often i think :)

A whole lap around the lake for a warm up!! I should toughen up but i was really exhausted!!
Then i just did a little walk after, only a walk because i couldn't run; my knees were really bad :(

Dad was going out to walka so i joined in and they got me to do this. I was so exhausted! and i had a pretty bad headache too. I won't be having a sleepover before i do something this hard again for a while i don't think!

My knees hurt! I was hoping they would get better when i was a bit warmed up but they didn't. I hope they get better! :(

Dad and i ran around together in the car park for a warm up. I did a little bit of extra running around because i wanted to take my mind off worrying, lol

Long distance champs
Happy again with my run. I could have been quicker because on number 1 i was a bit too far after the control but i turned around ans saw it straight away. I was cautious again, especially number 1, but i just wanted to find then all alright again, and i did so i don't really mind :)
Ooo, and i fell over infront of a lady and her kid, and aswell as scoring a funnny look from them both, i also have a hardcore scratch on my hip, haha

Orienteering race ("Canberra Technology Uni") 15:54 [4] 2.0 km (7:57 / km)

Sprint champs
Was heaps excited for this event, but kinda nervous at the same time. I was happy with how it went, only i was worried that the fence was electric and even though i could see the control on the other side of it i went to the gate thing just incase. Was kind of silly to do and lost me some time but oh well, at least i wasn't going to be electricuted!!

Mum and i were just constantly running around and around before she went out, and then i ran some more before i went out. It was pretty dam cold!!!

Orienteering race ("Wild Deer Sands") 27:29 [4] 3.3 km (8:20 / km)

Middle Distance champs
Was so so happy with this run. It was the first red i have done and i was very worried, but i didn't make any real mistakes. I wasn't worried at all about my time, i just wanted to get around it alright. On one of the controls i think i was a bit lucky because i would've been too far to the left but i saw the control and ran to it, but other then that nothing really went wrong :D:D
It made me feel better about tomorrow too.

Once again i was puffing in the warm up :P
but i guess that could be good because it means i was warming up good ? lol

Running intervals 20:00 [5]

I ended up doing the same as josh (200's with a 1:30 break) exceot i only did 12. I was feeling pretty good at the start but i got noticeably tired towards the end. My times were around 38 and 42 which i was happy with. I feel heaps good for going too which is good.
I really like training on thursdays, Boost after (Y) :)

Mum and i went for a run around newcastle while josh did hills. I'm not very motivated for training at the moment. I just don't feel like doing it but then when i have i feel good about it :(
but it was a good run, we went out the wall and then back, but we went a different way back. Thanks mum for convincing me to go out :)

Just a run around home with mum. I wasn't really keen for it but i felt ok out there. My legs weren't too sore once i got moving either which i was happy about :)

Beep Test
We had to do the beep test in P.E. Just after recess where i ate a mars bar, and the day after cross country which was great!!! lol
But it was good, they stopped me at 10.1 because the bell was about to go.

Running race (Zone Cross-country) 15:47 [5] 4.0 km (3:57 / km)

So so happy and excited!! :):)
When we started off i was coming like last nearly because evenyone sprints up the hill at the start, but then i started overtaking people. And i overtook someone along the wall too, which made me come second!! :D:D I was only 20 seconds behind first too, and the girl that came first is the girl from my school, so high five for Grossmann!! hehe :)

Oh and the length of the course wasn't fully 4km's, Josh gave his garmin to a girl to wear.

A stretch once we got home. I think i'm getting more inflexible :(

Ok, mum asked josh and i if we could hang out towels up because we were lazy and just put them on the ground in tha bathroom. So josh got up and did it straight away, and i went after him to find my towel in the bath with the water running. . .I didn't think much of it then other than how heavy it made my towel, but when i got out of the shower after my run, my towel was still saturated and i had to get mum to get me a new one!! >-> THANKS JOSH!!!

My gosh, talk about a tough warm up!!! I was buggered by the time we had finished this!! lol. :)

This was such a good this for me to do :) I enjoyed it even though i was hurting.
We did a 200m, them a 300m, then a 400m, then a 400m, then a 300m, then a 200m.
High five to sally, and tamara, and i suppose mum, hehe ")

Orienteering race (State League 5) 36:50 [4]

"Timberlight- NSW schools champs
Pretty nervous again today but i was looking forward to it. It looked like it would be fast, and it was. I enjoyed it and only made one little blue, i just couldn't tell whether this track had ended or not so i ran a bit too far, but if i knew exactly here i was i would've taken a different route coice anyway. But other than that the only thing that slowed me down much was my legs, they were soreee!

And poor bridget! :( hope it's not too bad!

Was so nervous at the start because i remembered last year too clearly, lol. But in the end i was pretty pleased with my run. I think i could've gone faster in time but i think today you had to be careful with the navigation more so i don't mind. Now next time we have an event there i hopefully won't feel so sick at the start!!

Running (Run with StK66) 31:56 [3]

Dad and i had planned to go for a run yesterday so we did go even though it was starting to get dark. The nights magic only didn't start working untill like 15 minutes into the run so that was a pitty because i kept on being angry (hehe, sorry dad :P) But i felt ok when running apart from my knees so it was good :)
